APPLICATION OF MODULAR DISTRIBUTION UNITS

Public distribution systems or subscriber installation with metering at low voltage level Branch connection, ring connection, or double derivation from the public medium voltage distribution grid via the LBS, Motorised LBS arrival units.

Distribution of the energy to the installations, such as to the transformer or transformers, is effected through units with three phase type “switch fuse” protection, when the protection system is equipped with a blown fuse trip and emission coil. The unit protection transformer is equipped with an MV/LV/Transformer locking system.

The modularity of the RING distribution system makes possible all of the configurations in these applications.
All these configurations can be installed with options (motor drive, EUIC (short inner end according to IEC60502) connection, etc).

The complete structure shall be rigid, self supporting & free from twists and bends. The panels will be totally dust and vermin proof. They will have fixed or draw out type executions as many be desired.

Power Control Center Panel will undergo pretreatment covering decreasing, water rinsing & de-rusting/ phosphating. It will be synthetic enamel painted or powder coated as per requirements.

Bus Bars & Internal Wiring Uniform cross section copper Bus Bars (current density 1.39 amps/sq mm.) supported by SMC /DMC bases will be employed through out the length of the panel. Internal wiring be carried out with 11000/650 volt grade PVC insulated stranded conductor wire. Power factor is an important factor in measurement of electrical usage and a dip in power factor will lead to a penalty from the electricity utility company and also cause operational losses in the industry/establishment. APFC panels automatically sense the change in load pattern through the microprocessor based relay and compensates the change in power factor by connecting to the capacitor banks. The Sheet metal / casting is made from non-corroding alloy combining exceptional compactness with high strength

The specially insulated interiors have high anti-tracking properties

The design/construction eliminates the possibility of mismatch in fitting of plugs in corresponding sockets

The floating contacts in the sockets are self aligning and facilitates smooth plugging in without undue pressure

These can be easily removed for wiring

A provision for pilot pin facilitate mechanical interlocking in case of 63/125 Amp ratings

Safety

Plug and Socket Distribution Boards Specially designed shroud to avoid accidental finger contact with plug-pins while inserting/removing the plug. Similarly, the contact tubes in sockets are deeply recessed to avoid human contact

The earthing pins ensure that earth connection is made first and broken last, being longer than conducting pins

The visible earth terminals facilitate easy checking of earth connection

The cable grip to the plug is made very strong by providing a compression gland and by protecting it at the point of entry by a strong rubber guard
